Catenian Speaking Competition
South East London and Kent - Finals

We are delighted to invite schools in Kent and South East London to participate in this exciting opportunity for young people to hone their public speaking skills and compete at a regional and national level.

  • Date of Regional Final: 20th February 2026
  • Venue: St Joseph's Church Hall, Plaistow Lane, Bromley, Kent BR1 2PR
  • Start Time: 7.00PM
  • Refreshments will be available.​
  • The winner will receive £200 toward the School's charity
To enter, each school must hold its own competition and select a winner to represent them at the regional final.

The winner of the regional final will receive £200 toward the School's charity and an
 all expenses paid to proceed to the UK Final, which will take place in Manchester Conference Centre in September 2026. 

This is an incredible opportunity for students to showcase their public speaking talents on a national stage and gain valuable experience and exposure.

Public speaking is an essential skill for success in today's world, and this competition provides a unique opportunity for Year 12 students to develop their confidence, analytical skills and ability to speak in front of others. We encourage all schools to participate and help their students master the craft of public speaking.
