You will be pleased to know that Roy Parker celebrated his 95th birthday with a few friends at St Joseph’s on 6 April 2022 and Barry was there to present a large birthday card with some photos on the card.
We are indebted to a lovely and kind family who have taken Roy under their wing and look after him as their own ‘grand-father’ or even ‘great grand-father.’ We should thank a wonderful Mother of the family, namely Emma who has been instrumental in making all the arrangements and has made life easier for Roy. We should also thank Barry on our behalf for taking time to visit Roy yesterday and Vincent Spink also popped over to wish Roy birthday greetings. We shall through Emma, arrange a ‘do’ for Roy after Easter and hopefully many of us can come to wish a great brotherly Catenian birthday. After all not many Brothers that I know have celebrated their 95th birthday, especially considering Covid and the Pandemic. We thank God for all his blessings.
